| UTAH, with its immaculate landscapes, brilliantly coloured canyons, across endless desert plains, to thickly wooded and snow-covered mountains, has something for everyone. More national parks can be found here than anywhere else in the nation. The Uinta Mountains has one of the most extensive wilderness areas, while Flaming Gorge and Dinosaur preserve a more desert splendour. The mountains of Wasatch Front overlook the capital, Salt Lake City, while Alta, Snowbird and other resorts around Park City offer some of the best skiing in North America.
